Hiking Grand Haven's Rosy Mound

There is a beautiful hiking trail through the dunes in Grand Haven called Rosy Mound. The 3/4 mile (one way) trail leading to Lake Michigan includes lots of stairs but the woodsy, sandy scenery is gorgeous no matter what time of year. We like reading the educational signs and learning about our environment. There is no charge between Labor Day and Memorial Weekend and even in the summertime, this secret beach is not too crowded.
