Matt Knio Pâtisserie

OK, we have a weakness for French pastries.  Who doesn't? We found a little goldmine of them in Hamtramck of all places.  Matt Knio, the little Frenchman down there, has a pastry factory on Trowbridge. We've been indulging in pain au chocolat, croissants aux amandes, religieuses (the little nun pastries), Paris-Brest, flan and fruit tarts. He's also got a stand at Eastern Market on Saturdays. We vote Matt Knio's as the best pastries in Michigan!
