Everyone at the Iron Mountain Iron Mine has to don a hard hat and raincoat before tour guide Bob drives you on his train through the eerie corridors. If you want to look down, hang on to your hat! This mine opened in 1870 and closed down in 1945, producing a total of 22 million tons of iron ore. They have a big huge rock shop at the exit so you can buy your souvenirs. Their season runs from June 1 until October 15.
