Pewabic Pottery in Detroit
Mary Stratton created Pewabic Pottery in 1903. Indigenous to Detroit, their hues are easily recognizable and unique. When you visit local historical homes or churches, this gorgeous tile is everywhere. The museum, studio, classes and gift shop on Jefferson are open to the public seven days a week. You can take a very informative guided tour or just wander around reading the brochure and learn at your own pace.
