The sculptor, Dale Chihuly, is known throughout the world for his massive glass-blown creations that evoke the sea and nature. The KIA has been in existence since 1924, but it's current facility will be 50 years old next year. You would never know it. Their '97 expansion and renovation make it one of Michigan's foremost museums.
