Detroit Science Center
The Detroit Science Center is one of the largest in the nation since its expansion in 2001. It features the new digital planetarium, the Chrysler IMAX Dome Theatre and the US Steel Factory amongst many others, including lots of hands-on stuff for youngsters to experiment with first hand. You can launch water bottles, get zapped by electricity and check out their laser harp. It's sad to see this complex temporarily closed due to the economical times and financial woes. We hope permanent funding is secured soon!
