Midland's Dow Library celebrates 100
To honor the celebration of Children's Book Week (May 7-13), we explored the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library in Midland which is celebrating their 100th birthday. You can see why they won the State Librarian's Excellence Award a few years ago. Their spacious lounge overlooks the peaceful Japanese Gardens. Their Youth Services is filled with interesting nooks and spaces as well as a huge doll wall dedicated to the characters represented in children's fiction. It sure makes us want to read Llama, Llama, Red Pyjama! They also offer some great services like Book Club in a Bag and Battle of the Books. They even have a great coffee bar called the Cup and Chaucer.
