Lexington's A Night to Remember

For a special occasion, you'll get all the pampering that is expected at A Night to Remember, a beautiful bed and breakfast in Lexington. Mary's Pie Shop

Mary's Pie Shop makes us drool.  Here she is with her rhubarb specialty and it is to die for. Located in Lexington, her little store is only open Thursday through Sunday in the afternoon. This is a special after dinner treat.  Make a production of it! Bring along your picnicware, go to the lake, spread the checkered tablecloth on the picnic table, sit down with your family and rejoice over the pie and the view and one another's company. Amen.

Lexington Pier and Harbor Park

The town of Lexington is filled with many surprises!  We enjoyed walking along the pier on Lake Huron during the sunset with a music tribute to ABBA playing in the Harbor Park. The food concessions were from  local restaurants like the delicious Wimpie burger. We even did a little dancing.  Music concerts are held in the park throughout the summer on week end evenings.

Blue Water Winery in Lexington

The thumb area of Michigan is just full of surprises.  Here, we are looking at the Town Hall in Lexington that serves up tastings of the Blue Water Winery and Vineyard. The building dates back to 1876 when it was used as the fire hall, then an opera house and the Masonic Temple. Today it's a newly renovated tasting room for wines from their vineyard located just north of Lexington in Carsonville. Their wines are served in Lexington's waterfront restaurant Smackwater Jack's as well.  Blue Water's motto is "Think globally, drink locally"!

Lexington's Gatherings--Antiques and Folk Art

Domenick and Jean Zerilli started with a home built in 1852 and then transformed it into a darling little antique shop with garden art and folksy, whimsical objets d'art. There are lots of little shops to explore in Lexington along the shores of Lake Huron.
