Mad Anthony Wayne in Detroit
Since we have Wayne County, Fort Wayne and Wayne State University in Michigan, it might be nice to know a little bit about the General behind the name of Anthony Wayne. He lived in the 1700's and fought in the American Revolution. But it is during the Northwest Indian War that Mad Anthony fought battles in our region to secure the lands for the US rather than Britain, Spain or France. This plaque is visible in Detroit on the old Wayne County Building.
