Most Holy Trinity Church in Detroit's Corktown

Still being in the Irish spirit, our offering today is Most Holy Trinity in Corktown, Detroit's oldest surviving neighborhood whose first residents were mostly from the county of Corktown in Ireland. The parish itself was founded in 1834, the first English speaking Catholic church in the area. The beautiful building above with its distinctive green spire was completed in 1866.  For most of the 20th century, the beloved Father Clement Kern led Most Holy Trinity. Still today, MHT does a tremendous outreach to the disadvantaged. Services are in Spanish or English.
