OMG--we reserve that expression for our very favorite experiences which we had today! The Ivanhoe Café in Detroit is more commonly known as the Polish Yacht Club. In existence since 1909, this is like stepping into a neighborhood bar from the distant past with wonderful homemade food and very friendly staff and patrons. Today we ate pierogis and potato pancakes. The kitchen is open Monday through Thursday from 11am to 2pm and Friday until maybe 7pm. They provide security for all their patrons cars.
